Presidential Fleet

It looks like a bit of light having been shed on waste, is going to help for once.

About a week ago, some observant people brought to light, that a plan to purchase a new fleet of up to 28 new "Marine One" helicopters for the Presidential fleet, had reached the point where the purchase was going to cost an estimated $11.8 billion.

Each one was going to cost more than Air Force One!

After the complaints began to stream in...it now seems that Mr. Obama is going to have that program trimmed or cut. He says he is content with his current ride!

I have no doubt that it wouldn't of happened if the public hadn't noticed it. President Obama seems to have no problems enjoying the use of his transportation fleet...everything from the new "Beasts" to taking Air Force One for short hops.

Not very "green"...

I must concede though...at least the Marine One choppers are painted green!

Obama's Mortgage plan??

I'm still wondering how a Mortgage Rescue Plan that can't be used by people with 2nd mortgages and HELOC's is supposed to help. Aren't they in trouble????

Those are the people least able to survive the mortgages they are in. The y maxed themselves out, and are in many cases well underwater...so Obama's plan does almost nothing to help them.

Spending vs. Stimulus

Spending vs. "Stimulus"...what is the difference???
Mr. Obama and his allies have a serious problem!

Stimulus always requires spending or incentives such as tax breaks...but not all spending is "stimulus".

If you give me $1 billion...it is great for me...but unless I spread it around...it doesn't "stimulate" anything. Obama and others don't understand that "waste is exactly that...waste"...by definition waste is something that is useless and does nothing...and that is what his package is about $600 billion of waste!
